MORGAN HILL, CA (BRAIN) — Specialized has launched a new triathlon/time trial saddle, the Sitero. The saddle was designed specifically fit for the aerodynamic position. The shape is intended to accommodate the forward pelvic rotation of a triathlete, allowing for greater blood flow and less soft tissue pressure than other nose-less saddle designs.
The Sitero also has optional, integrated water storage. Each Sitero will come with a removable Tri-Pod attachment to mount a water bottle cage or it can be replaced with an interchangeable hook for easy racking in transitions.
The Sitero comes in a Pro version with carbon rails that weighs 222 grams and will retail for $225. The Expert version with hollow titanium rails weighs 270 grams and will retail for $175. Siteros will be available in Specialized retailers late this month.
