TAIPEI, Taiwan (BRAIN) — Organizers of Taipei Cycle say the trade show's shift from spring to fall will last just one year.
The show will be held this fall, Oct. 31-Nov. 3 at the Taipei World Trade Center. For the 2019-2021 shows, the event will move back to March.
The show had announced in late 2016 that it was moving from its traditional spring dates to fall for this year. The announcement came soon after Eurobike announced it was moving its show earlier in the year, to early July. The shift to fall dates also put the Taipei in direct competition with the fast-growing OE event, Taichung Bike Week.
But in an announcement Monday, the show said the Taiwan Bicycle Association board had recently unanimously voted to return to March next spring. The show said the shift was made so the Taipei event "can maintain its position as the leading cycling show in the calendar year. This adjustment will both showcase the innovation of Taiwan manufacturers and set the stage for the worldwide cycling industry."
