SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (BRAIN) — Praxis Works has appointed Antoine Berte to the newly created position of European sales and marketing director. The company said the creation of the position was in response to increasing global demand for Praxis' line of cranksets, chainrings, wheels and bottom brackets. Berte will be based in Spain and oversee the brand's European business while leading the charge for further international development of the Praxis brand.
"Antoine's sales and business development experience and talent along with his background in engineering make him a tremendous fit for Praxis," said Praxis co-founder and COO David Earle. "Our products are designed to be simple for consumers, yet still packed with layer upon layer of hard-won engineering detail. Those attributes are ideally communicated to our customers by someone like him. Antoine is a great hire for Praxis and for all of our European partners."
Berte comes to Praxis from Rotor Bike Components, where he worked for six years, most recently as Rotor's global OEM director.
Berte said, "What you hear most often about Praxis is that their components just work. As a sales and marketing person with an engineering background, I have tremendous respect for just how difficult it is to receive that simple endorsement. I'm excited to join an engineering-first brand. With the growth into Italy and other new markets in Europe, it's an exciting time to be joining this team."
