Eurobike to launch four-city tech series in Germany this January

Published December 10, 2015

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN) — In mid-January, Eurobike will offer an array of technical seminars for dealers in four German cities in cooperation with brands including Bosch, SRAM, Fox, Magura, Schwalbe, BionX and KMC.

Dubbed Eurobike Academy, the program could attract upwards of 1,000 dealers and staff. Stefan Reisinger, Eurobike’s project manager, told BRAIN the program offers technical training to German retailers while keeping it cost-effective for suppliers.

The Academy will visit Frankfurt, Leipzig, Hanover and Munich from Jan. 18-28. “If you look at a map of Germany you can see that with these four cities almost every dealer is within a two-hour drive of the seminars,” Reisinger said.

Suppliers will spend two days in a local conference center in each city. The 45-minute seminars with 15-minute breaks in between begin at 7 a.m. and end at 5:45 p.m. Dealers can pick and choose the seminars and time slots that work best for them.

“Part of our approach in organizing this is to be a leader in our industry and to offer our customers additional value. The costs (for suppliers) are quite low, so it’s really affordable for everyone who is interested,” Reisinger said.

The program is a revenue-neutral project, he added, with Eurobike staff managing the logistics.
