LONDON (BRAIN) — Former Tour de France winner Sir Bradley Wiggins will work with the Rapha clothing brand on a new line of clothes following Wiggins' departure from Team Sky this spring.
Wiggins plans to race with Sky through this year's Paris-Roubaix, then launch the WIGGINS team and prepare for an attempt at the world hour record in June and the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
"The new venture will start with the 2015 launch of a Rapha-designed WIGGINS team kit and will expand over the next three years into a wider range of clothing, in a global deal brokered by Wiggins’ business partners XIX Entertainment," Rapha announced Monday.
Wiggins said, “I’ve got to know the Rapha team well over the last few years at Team Sky; they’re serious about design and they love cycling almost as much as I do. I want a range of kit that looks great but is also functionally practical for today’s cyclist in all their different shapes and sizes, and I know Simon and the team at Rapha will do the business."
