OSTERMUNDIGEN, Switzerland (BRAIN) — Two bicycle committees at the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry have new chairmen, and the WFSGI's wheel committee is getting a new member to replace a member who left the wheel industry.
SRAM's Bernhard Johanni succeeds Dirk Bruynseraede from Ridley as technical committee chairman and Shimano's Tim Gerrits follows Josh Poertner from Zipp as wheel committee chairman. Poertner left Zipp this summer.
Paul Lew from Reynolds Cycling will join the wheel committee as a vice-chair.
“The WFSGI can be proud to draw on committtee members who can display such a long industry experience, high technical know how and an excellent network. These are important factors to continue our work with the UCI and to tackle the tasks that are ahead of us,” said Robbert de Kock, secretary general of the WFSGI.
Nearly 60 bike brands are represented on the WFSGI bicycle committees.
