ARGYLE, Texas (BRAIN) — The return of the North American Handmade Bicycle Show will not take place Aug. 6-8 next year as announced last month and instead will take place in early 2028.
NAHBS founder and president Don Walker said the MADE show also occurs on the same weekend in Portland, Oregon, presenting a scheduling dilemma for exhibitors and visitors, and prompting the change to either February or March the following year at a location to be named.
"Since announcing the return, I've spoken with builders across the United States and around the world, and the support has been humbling," Walker said. "I feel honored by the faith and trust these builders have shown."
NAHBS traditionally has been held in late winter, early spring.
"As for why I'm bringing NAHBS back at all, my answer is simple: It's not just me that wants to see NAHBS back. There are builders, industry veterans, and enthusiasts who believe NAHBS is no less important today than ever before," Walker said.
Since its debut in Houston in January 2005, NAHBS has featured handmade bicycles that incorporate innovative design and craftsmanship. The show was affected by the COVID‑19 pandemic and resulted in a subsequent hiatus.
