LAKEWOOD, Calif. (BRAIN) — Tern Bicycles is collaborating with used e-bike marketplace Upway to offer a trade-in program at U.S. dealers.
"This program makes upgrading to a Tern easier than ever," said Steve Boyd, Tern’s North America general manager. "Partnering with Upway allows us to offer a simple, streamlined trade-in process through our dealer network, making it faster and more convenient for riders to find the right Tern for their needs."
Consumers can trade in any e-bike and receive credit toward the purchase of a new Tern bike, while comparing models and taking test rides, and arranging for professional fitting and accessory installation at time of purchase.
"We're excited to partner with Tern on a program that supports a more sustainable approach to upgrading," said Alessandro Pregel, Upway’s sourcing lead. "By connecting riders, dealers, and our platform, this program keeps e-bikes in use longer, reduces waste, and supports our shared vision with Tern of making high-quality e-bikes more accessible to more people."
Authorized Tern dealers can participate in the program by applying at b2b.upway.app.
Upway purchases e-bikes from major brands and private sellers and performs refurbishing at locations globally. Consumers receive a one-year warranty on the frame, battery, motor, and electronics.
