SALT LAKE CITY (BRAIN) — Specialized opened a new North American distribution center and office here on Tuesday that's about double the size of the previous one.
The 587,000-square-foot facility will employ 120 workers. Salt Lake City has been the home to its North American distribution center for more than 25 years, and according to the brand, its geographical location offers efficient shipping and a diverse local employee talent pool.
"We are committed to serving our riders and retailers with a premium experience," said David Wood, senior director operations North America. "Our new hub will unite internal teams and enhance our ability to innovate and get more riders on bikes. Our decision to stay in Salt Lake City renews our investment in improving quality and service levels to our USA and Canadian based riders."
The center also is home to quality control, service, warranty, and technical education classes.
