DETROIT (BRAIN) — E-bike brand Benno Bikes will utilize Bloom as a development and marketing center for its U.S. operations, tapping into the platform's support, logistics, and future brand development services.
The partnership also is expected to enhance Benno's operational efficiency, product engineering, and prototyping capabilities. Benno will continue to utilize QBP for its U.S.-based distribution and after-sales service.
Bloom works with Newlab in Detroit's Michigan Central innovation district that offers manufacturing capabilities and prototyping equipment. Bloom also works with mobility companies in various stages to explore relocating their manufacturing, logistics and service to its platform. It offers operations-as-service for the e-mobility industry, providing standards and capacities for domestic manufacturing, assembly, delivery, and servicing.
Benno Bikes was started in 2015 by Benno Baenziger, who co-founded the Electra Bicycle Company in San Diego shortly after graduating from design school in 1993. Benno Bikes created a new category it calls Etility, which is transportation bikes with the ability to carry extended cargo and the versatility to do more.
