DETROIT (BRAIN) — Light electric vehicle vertical integration partner Bloom added Cleveland-based LAND Energy as its e-moto battery supplier.
With 20 global patents, LAND Energy's CORE battery platform is designed for two-wheel and four-wheel light electric vehicles as well as boats and RVs, and also provides a portable power grid.
"LAND Energy has built an intelligent, portable electric battery platform to power other companies," LAND Energy Founder and CEO Scott Colosimo said. "This partnership comes at an ideal time as the U.S. and the industry seek swappable, standardized solutions for electric vehicles."
Bloom collaborates with micromobility strategic partners to provide domestic contract manufacturing, assembly, delivery, and servicing. With this partnership, LAND Energy and Bloom expect industry partners to experience multiple benefits, including lower production costs and operating in a resilient market.
"The CORE battery allows companies to get to market faster by leveraging the battery expertise of LAND Energy," Bloom Co-Founder Justin Kosmides said. "LAND Energy is an excellent addition to the ecosystem we are building, which will allow new brands to grow in a much more efficient way. Economies of scale and shared resources are critical elements that mature markets depend on, and this partnership is a great step in that direction."
Kosmides and fellow co-founder Chris Nolte started Bloom last year and work with Newlab in Detroit's Michigan Central innovation district that offers manufacturing capabilities and prototyping equipment. Bloom is working with mobility companies in various stages to explore relocating their manufacturing, logistics and service to its platform.
