Porsche eBike Performance phasing out Greyp brand by the end of year

Published October 6, 2023

SVETA NEDELJA, Croatia (BRAIN) — Porsche eBike Performance will eliminate the Greyp brand after acquiring a majority stake in the e-bike company in 2021.

A Porsche eBike Performance spokesperson told BRAIN in an email that talks with possible investors were underway before the decision was made to dissolve the brand. Greyp production gradually will scale down and end on Dec. 31, but Greyp customer service will continue, the spokesperson said.

Fewer than 40 employees are affected, and some could be folded into Porsche eBike Performance operations, the spokesperson added.

The spokesperson said Porsche will continue to work with long-standing partner Rotwild on its e-bike models.

The focus going forward will be developing and producing e-bike drive systems, the spokesperson said. Porsche acquired German e-bike drive system Fazua GmbH last year.  A new e-bike drive systems factory is being planned, the spokesperson said, with locations being considered in Croatia.
