AUSTIN, Texas (BRAIN) — Woom bikes will be the official kids bike manufacturer of the Sea Otter Classic after it signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with Life Time.
Woom will offer free demos at its Kids’ Zone during the April 7-10 festival. The woom Kids’ Zone will feature bikes for those 12 and under to ride on an age-appropriate enclosed obstacle course. There also will be a designated area for balance bikes.
In addition, woom will have a 20x40-foot booth inside the Kids’ Zone, where it will showcase products, including the debut of a new kids bike.
“Woom is a perfect fit for us,” said Sea Otter Classic founder and director Frank Yohannan. “Companies who make Sea Otter fun for the next generation are an important part of the experience. Sea Otter Classic has focused on young riders and being a family-friendly event since our inception. We have seen generations of racers return with their families, year after year, and we look forward to continuing the tradition with woom.”
The Classic is held at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area in Monterey, California, and kids 12 and under receive a free festival pass. The Kids’ Zone will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
“We cannot think of a more fitting event partner for woom than the Life Time Sea Otter Classic,“ said Mathias Ihlenfeld, woom bikes CEO. “Woom bikes was developed with the goal to empower children with a lifelong love of cycling, and the Sea Otter Classic festival is working toward that same goal, offering a unique experience for kids and their families to immerse themselves in the sport of cycling and the joy that it delivers.”
