NORTHVALE, N.J. (BRAIN) — A 24-year-old warehouse worker has been arrested on charges of murder, weapon possession, and hindering his own arrest in connection to the death of fellow Jamis Bicycles employee Jeanette Willem on Wednesday.

Prosecutors said Christian V. Giron is single and lives in Harrington Park. He was a co-worker of Willem at Jamis.

Northvale Police Department received a 911 call at about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, reporting an injured person at the address of the GJoannou Cycle Co. Inc. headquarters. G. Joannou owns and distributes the Jamis brand and others.

Police responded and found Willem dead from a head wound. Prosecutors say Giron used a hammer as his weapon.

Giron was being held at the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
