PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Cycling Industry Pledge enrollment has been extended to the end of the month for companies to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The Radical Adventure Riders — previously known as the WTF Bikexplorers — announced the details of the membership extension. CIP maintains cycling companies influence how people interact with the industry as a whole. The way they operate can promote inclusion to the front of workplace culture.
By joining, all members receive these additional benefits:
- Accountability and networking: RAR will offer an accountability group for companies needing a working group to share their pledge progress. RAR also will provide one-on-one connections for those seeking to contact other similar-sized companies.
- Exposure and job promotion: Paid members get access to up to two job announcements via the CIP website and social media. RAR also will feature member companies' logos on its website and social media when they are highlighted.
- Community connection: RAR offers additional networking opportunities with its community through its newsletter and programs. When requested, RAR directly can connect you to its chapters, gravel, and scholarship programs.
The program has a new membership cost because the group believes the work that goes into it should be acknowledged. The cost to join the CIP is based on the number of full-time equivalent employees. A pay-what-you-can option is available, but companies are encouraged to use these levels as a baseline:
- 1 employee: $50.
- 2-5 employees: $100.
- 6-10 employees: $150.
- 11-35 employees: $200.
- 36-100 employees: $250.
- 101-500 employees: $300.
- 501-plus employees: $400.
