HAYWARD, Calif. (BRAIN) — Bianchi USA informed its dealers Wednesday that former Interbike director Pat Hus is joining the company as CEO for USA/North America. The CEO position is new for the company.
The company also confirmed that Rod Jewett has been appointed to a new position as CFO and Jim Stevenson will continue as the company's VP of sales and marketing.
"We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to add Pat to our leadership team at this strategic time in Bianchi's history," said Bob Ippolito, the COO for non-European bicycle subsidiaries for Grimaldi Industri, Bianchi's parent company.
"Bianchi USA is seeing unprecedented demand right now for its innovative new product offerings and when combined with the success we're enjoying in the Tour de France, we feel very fortunate to have anticipated the need for this important addition to our team. Pat brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having played key leadership roles in other high growth companies in the bicycle industry. His deep relationships with dealers over the years and as show director for Interbike from 2011 to 2018, will enable us to capitalize on the current momentum and will help us to grow the Bianchi brand far beyond its reach today."
Hus said: "I feel incredibly blessed to have been given this opportunity to join the Bianchi USA team and to help lead it through this next phase.
"I've always admired the brand and its rich heritage, going back to when I was the Bianchi rep in Southern California in 1990. I feel like I have come full circle and that I am right where I am supposed to be. I can't wait to get past this horrible pandemic situation so that I can get out to meet with as many of the Bianchi dealers as possible."
Besides his stint at Interbike, Hus has held leadership positions at Bravo Sports, Easton Bell Sports, Titus Cycles, American Bicycle Group and Cannondale.
Hus started at Bianchi on Tuesday. He will be moving to the Northern California area in the coming months.
