BikeBookings software helps stores communicate with service customers, manage service area

Published September 15, 2017

PERTH, Australia (BRAIN) — BikeBookings.com, an Australian company that offers a software package for bike service department management and communication, is now available in the U.S.

BikeBookings allows consumers to book service appointments online, any time of the day, through a mobile app or website widget that can be customized with the store's branding. The system also allows the store to communicate with customers through a chat feature in the mobile app or via email or texts.

From the backend, BikeBookings also allows technicians and managers to schedule work and staffing and maintain a service history for customers' bikes. It can provide a snapshot of current workloads in the shop and can be used to schedule follow-up messages, via email or SMS, to drive repeat business. BikeBookings plans to offer integration with Lightspeed POS systems by the end of October.

BikeBookings is offering retailers a one-month free trial. Costs are $40 per month for a standard package, or $65 per month for a Pro package that includes a custom store mobile app for iOS and Android and other features. The Pro package has a $490 setup fee.

BikeBookings has been operating in Australia for over a year and recently expanded into the UK and U.S. Company co-founder Kristen Britz told BRAIN that BikeBookings is also looking for a U.S. sales manager.
