BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — Micky Dymond, a top pro motocross and supercross racer from the 1980s and 1990s, is training to compete in the 2014 Race Across America in the solo division.
RAAM organizers will feature Dymond's training in its Riding The Line video series, starting this Monday.
“I have become enamored with the idea of RAAM, the idea of being on my own, the isolation, places I have never been, and it all entices me,” said Dymond. "There is stress of being in a motorcycle race that is scary at times, you want it to be over before it even starts. With RAAM, there is a connection, where I don’t have a need for it to be over so quickly. I want to relish the road, the challenges, the beauty and all that comes with it.”
