BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — Polar Bottle is offering a special insulated water bottle, the sale of which will benefit the American Red Cross disaster relief fund.
The bottles are available exclusively on the Polar website and sell for $14.99. Polar is donating $5 to the Red Cross for each bottle sold.
According to Polar Bottle president Judy Amabile, the idea for the bottles came about following Hurricane Sandy and the devastation it caused to the East Coast this October.
“After witnessing the destruction from Hurricane Sandy we knew we wanted to help support relief efforts,” Amabile said, explaining that several employees from the Polar Bottle office have family in affected areas. “By partnering with the Red Cross we can help victims from Sandy and those affected by future disasters as well.”
