SEATTLE (BRAIN) — REI Co-op had record sales in 2018 of $2.78 billion, up 6 percent over the prior year. The co-op also said it added more than 1 million new members last year, bringing its total membership to 18 million.
TAICHUNG, Taiwan (BRAIN) — Despite concerns over protectionism, ongoing trade disputes and a continued slowdown in China, Giant Manufacturing Ltd. reported the second highest annual revenue in its history.
MONTREAL (BRAIN) — Dorel Sports — a division of Dorel Industries that includes Cycling Sports Group, the parent of Cannondale and GT — posted double-digit organic revenue growth and significant operating profit improvement in its fourth quarter, the company reported Thursday.
KENT, Wash. (BRAIN) — Accell Group N.V. on Friday announced global revenues were up 2.4 percent, but its North American business reported a 36 percent decline in revenue for the year.
BRASELTON, Ga. (BRAIN) — Sales in Fox Factory's Specialty Sports Group — which comprises the company's bicycle brands: Fox and Marzocchi suspension, RaceFace and Easton Cycling — grew 14.9 percent last year, to $282 million, according to an earnings report Tuesday.
OLATHE, Kan. (BRAIN) — Garmin Ltd. on Wednesday reported a 4 percent jump in fourth-quarter revenue, to $932 million, as the company's aviation, marine, outdoor and fitness businesses grew a collective 13 percent compared with a year earlier. Revenue for the full year rose 7 percent to $3.35 billion.
OSAKA, Japan (BRAIN) — Shimano is reporting a similar scenario as the rest of the industry: sales of complete bikes in North America declined last year in units, but increased in dollars thanks to a shift to more expensive models, including e-bikes.
ANOKA, Minn. (BRAIN) — Vista Outdoor on Thursday reported a 20 percent drop in sales to $468 million for its fiscal third quarter, ended Dec. 30, due to declines in ammunition and firearms sales, hunting/shooting accessories and the company's actions sports and outdoor recreation businesses.
PITTSBURGH (BRAIN) — Dick's Sporting Goods has reported an increased consolidated net income of $37.8 million for the third quarter ended Nov. 3, compared with $36.9 million during the same period in 2017.
MONTRÉAL (BRAIN) — Dorel Industries announced Friday that revenue in its sports division, which includes the company's portfolio of mass and IBD bike brands, rose 6.6 percent in the third quarter, to $219.1 million from $205.5 in the same period a year earlier.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (BRAIN) — David Loechner has resigned from Emerald Expositions Events, where he has been president and CEO since 2013. Emerald is the owner of the Interbike and the Outdoor Retailer trade shows.
FARMINGTON, Utah (BRAIN) — Vista Outdoor announced Thursday that its fiscal second-quarter sales were solid at $547 million, with flat sales in its action sports division. The company indicated it was in no rush to sell its bike brands, which include Bell, Giro and Blackburn.
SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Fox Factory announced Wednesday that it plans to relocate its corporate headquarters from California to it existing offices in Georgia by the end of this year.
