The Mothership Collective's September campaign will connect women through outdoor gatherings across North America and beyond, with cycling playing a meaningful role in the growing event series.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. — August 11, 2026 — Because motherhood was never meant to be done alone, The Mothership Collective is bringing Rally the Village back this September with 160 community-led events designed to help women find their people in real life.
The idea behind Rally the Village grew from the question The Mothership hears more than any other: "How do I find my people?"
Local hosts answer that question by choosing an activity that fits their community. The Mothership Collective provides the central platform, promotion, host support and backing from brand partners. Events are designed to be free to attend, aside from clearly disclosed costs such as trailhead parking.
The month-long series will bring women together in communities across North America, with international gatherings extending to countries including Japan, France and Australia. The calendar includes hikes, paddleboarding meetups, trail runs, campouts, park gatherings, coffee dates and a growing collection of bike rides for women and families.
Several Kids Ride Shotgun Rideout events and additional community group rides are included in the September schedule. These gatherings reflect a broader opportunity for the bicycle industry: making riding feel more welcoming and accessible by giving women and families a simple, social reason to get on their bikes together.
During the first Rally the Village in May, women hosted 130 hikes, beach hangs, bike rides, stroller runs, paint parties, cold plunges, dance parties, campfires, coffee meetups and other gatherings. More than 3,000 women participated across the United States, Canada and beyond.
Most importantly, the connections continued after the official campaign ended. Hosts reported that attendees exchanged phone numbers, formed ongoing adventure groups and began organizing their next gatherings before the first ones were even over.
"Rally the Village proved that women are not lacking the desire for community; they are often just missing the invitation and a simple way to begin," said Julie Bacon, founder of The Mothership Collective. "In May, moms showed up alone and left with a crew. September is about giving even more women the chance to make that first connection, build a community that lasts or simply feel motivated to get outside and do something fun."
Cycling emerged as one natural way for those new communities to continue meeting. In Ohio, host Liz Wheaton said her group was already discussing the formation of a mom-and-kid bike gang and planning more outdoor adventures together.
Other hosts described a similar effect across different activities.
Claire, a host in Illinois, shared that her group scheduled another hike following its first gathering, adding, "Thanks so much for helping me find a crew that will wear sparkles on a hike."
Rally the Village is supported by Mad Hippie, YES Bar, ZEAL Optics, BRAMI, SWOOP and NÜDL. Together, these partners are helping local hosts create welcoming, accessible experiences while demonstrating the power of investing in women-led communities at the grassroots level.
The complete September schedule is now live. Women can find a gathering near them and RSVP at mothership-collective.com/pages/rally-the-village.
