NIJMEGEN – OEM suppliers from the international bicycle industry can now officially register for the first edition of CycleExpo, which is scheduled to take place next year from October 6 to 8, 2027.

CycleExpo is a new initiative by NieuwsFiets Media & Events, located just outside Amsterdam, offering the international bicycle industry an accessible OEM platform. Visitors can choose from 145 Full Service Stands various sizes (12 m2, 18m2, 24 m2 and 30 m2), all of which will be printed with imagery provided by the exhibitors. This gives the trade fair a clear and uniform appearance, while ensuring everyone presents their own look & feel and costs remain manageable. T

he fair is set to take place at Expo Greater Amsterdam, a twenty-minute drive from Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. This ensures the fair is easily accessible for international exhibitors and visitors. Hotels are available in abundance in the immediate vicinity.

Much enthusiasm among Asian and European manufacturers for CycleExpo

Following the initial announcement that NieuwsFiets Media & Events will be organizing a new international trade fair for the bicycle industry, a flood of enthusiastic reactions has emerged regarding the arrival of CycleExpo.

Particularly during both TAIPEI CYCLE and CHINA CYCLE, it became clear that there is a great deal of interest among Asian and European manufacturers of components and accessories to participate in this new OEM fair. “CycleExpo will be interesting to visit not only for large bicycle manufacturers but also for medium-sized and small bicycle manufacturers. It is truly remarkable how many responses we have received, on the road, via email, and on social media. There is clearly a need for an international networking opportunity between suppliers and bicycle brands in Europe in the autumn. In that sense, CycleExpo is an ideal complement to the trade fairs in Taiwan and China, but also to a Taichung Bike Week or the Eurobike,” says Arnauld Hackmann, who will be organizing the new event together with his son Rick.

"It is fantastic and encouraging to receive so many nice responses, but ultimately, of course, it is all about concrete registrations and bookings. From now on, things are getting serious.”

Go or No Go deadline set for October 1, 2026

With registration officially opening, it will become clear how concrete the support actually is for this trade fair, which is scheduled to take place until the autumn in 2027. “That sounds very far away, of course, but it certainly isn't. The deadline for a definitive Go or No Go has been set for October 1, 2026. At that point, the balance will be struck and a decision will be madeon whether CycleExpo will actually go ahead or not,” Hackmann explains.

“So, the more exhibitors we have on board, the greater the chance that it will go ahead, of course. If all positive responses are converted into bookings, then we are very confident that the event will simply take place in 2027.”
