Pro Men's and Women's Racing and a Major Fan Festival featuring 220+ vendor tents, live entertainment, family activities, and estimated 25,000 attendees.
Philadelphia, PA —The Philadelphia Cycling Classic presented by AmeriGas®, one of America's most iconic professional cycling events, will return from a decade-long hiatus on August 29–30, 2026, bringing back elite-level racing in Philadelphia alongside a major two-day Sports Festival and Expo.
Originally known as the US PRO Cycling Championship, the event was an annual professional bicycle race held in Philadelphia from 1985 to 2016 and became known as one of the richest and most prestigious one-day races outside of Europe. The men's event was ranked by the UCI, making it the highest ranked single-day race in the Western Hemisphere.
The 2026 weekend will include both professional women's and men's races and a large-scale public festival experience designed to celebrate cycling culture and connect riders, brands, retailers, and fans.
"With the return of this iconic race and a large scale two-day festival and expo, we're building a weekend that welcomes riders, families, and the cycling industry—right in the heart of the city," said Carlos Rogers, co-owner of the Philadelphia Cycling Classic.
Two-Day Sports Fan Festival
The Philadelphia Cycling Classic Sports Fan Festival will be located on-course and approximately 300 meters from the Start/Finish and VIP area, offering free admission for spectators and a high-energy environment for consumers and the cycling industry.
The festival is projected to feature:
• 220+ expo tents / vendor spaces
• Live music and main stage programming
• Live race coverage on-site
• Kids and family activities
• Beer garden and café
• An estimated 30,000 total attendees across the weekend
Special exhibitor areas are planned, including dedicated zones for e-bikes, gravel, women's programming, demos, rides, and non-profit/association partners.
Exhibitor and Sponsorship Opportunities
Expo areas for the Philadelphia Cycling Classic will be managed by Endurance Sports Marketing, a leading agency specializing in the development and management of sports festivals and expos at premier cycling and endurance events.
"We're excited to be back working on a festival of this scale," said Craig Mintzlaff, owner of Endurance Sports Marketing. "We were deeply involved with the Philadelphia Cycling Classic festival from 1998–2008, and it's energizing to reconnect with so many industry partners who are still active today. This festival will be significantly larger, more interactive, and more immersive than anything we produced in the past."
Exhibitor and sponsorship packages will be available for brands, retailers, tourism partners, clubs, and community organizations. Opportunities include branded zones, category-focused expo areas, demo and activation spaces, stage integrations, and fan engagement opportunities throughout the festival footprint.
