The BMX Hall of Fame was established in 1985, by new ABA owner Bernie Anderson. The original three inductees were Dave Clinton, Stu Thomsen and Redline founder Linn Kastan. Since that time, 40 years ago this November, the BMX Hall of Fame has inducted over 190 BMX legends and icons. In February of 2022, USA BMX opened up their new HQ in Tulsa, Oklahoma - which dedicates a special 4,000 sq. foot space for the BMX Hall of Fame & Museum (open to the public Monday thru Friday from 9 to 5).
This year's BMX Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will be held under the big roof of the Hardesty BMX Stadium, just outside the doors of the BMX Hall of Fame & Museum. Hall of Fame weekend starts on Friday, September 19th with a reception inside the HoF, then really starts cookin' on Saturday the 20th, with old school BMX events throughout the day - including a Vintage BMX bike show, and the ticketed Induction Ceremony and dinner that evening. On Sunday the 21st, the HoF celebration slows down the pace with the Outsider's House Ride-Out, cruisin' to all of the hotspots that Tulsa has to offer.
