Foothill Ranch, Calif. – Bosch eBike Systems, a division of Bosch Group, has been named a CES ® 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree for its new smart system in the ‘Vehicle Intelligence & Transportation’ category. The CES Innovation Awards is an annual competition presented by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products.
The smart system from Bosch eBike Systems – consisting of the eBike Flow app, control unit, display, rechargeable battery, and drive unit – ensures a very personal eBike experience. The new system generation combines technical high-quality eBike components with digital functions, taking riding enjoyment to the next level, whether in everyday use or for pleasure.
“It is always a thrill to have our efforts recognized by the distinguished members of the CES Innovation Awards panel,” said Claudia Wasko, Vice President & General Manager, Bosch eBike Systems North America. “We are committed to providing riders a best-in-class eBike experience that optimizes everyday riding. With the addition of the new smart system, we continue to pedal toward the mobility of the future.”
As part of the new smart system, the eBike Flow app is the key component, which gives riders access to a connected eBike world with completely new riding experiences. Riders can enhance their eBike with new functions and over-the-air updates, record activities such as personal ride and fitness data, customize riding modes, and keep an eye on important information – from the battery charge status to the next service appointment – via the home screen. New eBike Flow app features will also become available in the future to further enhance the individual riding experience.
This year’s CES Innovation Awards program received a record high number of 1,800 submissions. The program recognizes honorees in 27 consumer technology product categories and distinguishes the highest rated in each with the "Best of Innovation" award. A panel of industry expert judges, including members of the media, designers, engineers and more, reviewed submissions based on innovation, engineering and functionality, aesthetic, and design.
Bosch is a presenting partner for this year’s eMobility Experience at CES to showcase the latest eBike technology and offer a 1,565-foot test track where guests can take eBikes from Bosch OEM partners including Benno, Bianchi, Gazelle, and more. Additionally, Claudia Wasko, Vice President at Bosch eBike Systems will be hosting two panel presentations on Wednesday, January 6 to share the latest from the brand and discuss industry developments.
Bosch eBikes Systems will exhibit at the 2022 CES from January 5-8, 2022 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, located at 3150 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89109. For further information about Bosch eBike Systems, visit www.bosch-ebike.com/us.
