MORGAN HILL, Calif. - LEM Helmets, manufacturer of innovative, stylish, and performance head protection for cycling and motorsports, today introduces two, new limited edition Team BePink colorways of its Gavia and Volata cycling helmets to support breast cancer research.

The breast cancer awareness collection is inspired by LEM’s partnership with Italian-based UCI pro women's cycling Team BePink. Worn and trusted by the team riders for training and racing at the highest level around the world, the featured BePink colorways of LEM’s road cycling-inspired Gavia and Volata helmets not only illustrates its collaboration and strong ties to the team, but also its commitment to supporting and showcasing female cyclists in the sport.

With October designated as breast cancer awareness month, LEM will be donating 10-percent of all sales of these two helmets to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in support of the 27-year-old organizations worldwide commitment to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer through advanced research.

“Weaved into our brand mission and ID is supporting organizations – both within and outside the cycling industry – who are at the forefront of instilling positive change and impact through the work they do. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is the highest rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. with a commitment to fund research for prevention and cure for breast cancer worldwide. And, we’re excited to support their work through our campaign this month that ties in our relationship with Team BePink,” said Keith Cozzens, LEM’s global brand marketing director.

Designed for road cycling and inclusive for all rider abilities, the Gavia ($100) and Volata ($65) are premium, versatile helmets that deliver performance through comfort. The Gavia features 27 vents for optimal temperature control, multi-shell in-mold technology, micro-adjust fit system, and a removable visor. The aerodynamic Volata features a lightweight feel, EPS in-mold technology, and 17 vents for maximum cooling.

Supporting and collaborating with Team BePink over the last two years has afforded LEM the opportunity to cultivate a unique, successful partnership with the riders and managers to further immerse the brand into professional women’s cycling, while gleaning invaluable knowledge around product and the needs of today’s competitive female cyclists.

"We are very proud to join forces with LEM
and to have the opportunity to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. LEM has a well-established reputation in the cycling equipment sector, and is the perfect partner to share in the emotions and adventures that this beautiful sport can offer us,” said Walter Zini, Team BePink manager. “LEM's commitment to supporting research is commendable. BePink, too, has always been committed to supporting women, and it is honored to help contribute to such an important cause.”

LEM’s breast cancer awareness campaign runs from Oct. 1-31, with 10-percent of all limited edition BePink Gavia and Volata sales through its website and nationwide dealer partners donated to the BCRF. Support today!
