BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Giant Bicycles and Liv Cycling are the latest brands partnering with The Pro's Closet in a trade-up program.
Cyclists can upgrade to a new Giant or Liv model by trading their old bike to The Pro's Closet. The submission process requires two photos and a short description of the trade-in. TPC provides a trade-up quote within 24 hours that is redeemed for a voucher applicable toward any Giant or Liv model.
Previously, The Pro's Closet has partnered with other manufacturers and retailers, including Competitive Cyclist, Zipp, and QBP.
"From the beginning, our trade-up program was developed to make selling an existing bike to help finance a new bike as easy as walking into your local bike shop," said Travis Erwin, chief revenue officer at The Pro's Closet. "We're excited to partner with these innovative brands and expand this program to participating Giant and Liv retail locations."
The program is modeled after the auto industry's approach to used cars. When customers can apply the value of their existing bike to a new purchase, they have more flexibility and foresight when planning an upgrade, TPC said. This program is designed to benefit customers and retailers by removing one of the primary challenges to purchasing a new bike, they said.

TPC purchases new and pre-owned bikes and accessories from manufacturers, retailers, and individuals. Each bike undergoes a Certified Pre-Owned inspection and service. A Buyback Guarantee gives customers full transparency by offering guaranteed trade-in values for 18 months after purchase.
