Dick's Sporting Goods will close all stores for two weeks

PITTSBURGH (BRAIN) — After announcing two days ago it was cutting hours of operation, Dick's Sporting Goods now has decided to temporarily close all stores beginning today because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chairman and CEO Ed Stack said in a statement on the Dick's website that stores will reopen April 2. The closure also includes the company's Golf Galaxy and Field & Stream stores. Employees will be paid during the closure and continue to receive benefits.

Online and mobile app ordering will continue to be available, and Dick's and Golf Galaxy will offer "curbside contactless pickup service." This pickup option will be available between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. seven days a week.

Normally open 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, Dick's had changed its hours to 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
