LIBERTY, Mo. (BRAIN) — Erik's newest store here is its first in Missouri and third in the Kansas City metro area. The store opened Saturday.

"The city has been working to expand their bike trails making biking better for everyone," said Erik Saltvold, the chain's founder. "The new store will have an extensive inventory of electric bikes, plus mountain, road, recreation, commuter, BMX, kids' and more. And of course, it will have a service department that can fix any issue with any bike brand."

The new store is located at 237 South Steward Road in the Liberty Commons Mall between PetCo and Kirkland's. The store is a few miles east of bike trails at Hodge Park and a few miles west of the mountain bike trail system at Stocksdale Park.

Erik's now has 31 stores, in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Missouri.
