WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling about 24,300 Outdoor Master children's and youth helmets because they don't comply with positional stability and coverage requirements.
No injuries nor incidents have been reported.
Two Outdoor Master helmet models are included in the recall:
OM-TD BIKE is blue with a dinosaur print, black padding, black straps, black buckle, and a black plastic knob at the back for fitment adjustment. It was sold in children's size small. "OM-TD BIKE" and "05/2024" (the manufacture date) is printed on a label inside, and the brand is printed on the back of the helmet.
OM-KSKB is deep green with black padding, yellow straps, black buckle, and a black plastic knob at the back for fitment adjustment. It was sold in youth size small, "OM-KSKB" and "11/2022" (the manufacture date) is printed on a label inside, and the brand is printed on the front and back of the helmet.
Consumers should stop using the helmets and contact Outdoor Master for instructions on how to register for a full refund. Outdoor Master can be reached by email at care@outdoormaster.com or online.
The helmets were sold online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from June 2024 through February 2025 for between $20 and $32.
