CPSC approves Cannondale fender recall

Published December 16, 2020

WILTON, Conn. (BRAIN) — Cannondale officially recalled the front fender hardware on its Canvas Neo models after receiving Consumer Product Safety Commision approval on the upgraded assembly.

The new assembly will be available in January.

In October, Cannondale issued a safety notice about the fender hardware on its Canvas Neo 1 and Canvas Neo 2 bicycles after receiving reports the assembly can become detached and stop the wheel.

Cannondale dealers and/or riders should remove the Neo front fender and save the fender and fender struts for later reattachment. Consumers can remove the fender on their own, but it must be re-installed by an authorized Cannondale dealer at no charge.
