Glacier Recalling '09 Ice Storm 2 Bicycles

Published July 22, 2008

NORWOOD, Ontario (BRAIN)—Glacier Bikes has issued a voluntary warranty recall on all 2009 Glacier Ice Storm 2 bicycle models sold between April 1, 2008 and July 22, 2008.

Due to a supplier error, all bikes sold during this time period received the incorrect headset model. The headset model included in these build kits was the Cane Creek IS standard size. The headtube on all Glacier models is the Campagnolo Integrated standard.

Glacier bikes strongly recommends taking the bike to your local bicycle dealer and have them arrange to inspect the frame and arrange for a replacement headset. Frames that are deemed to be damaged as a result of the incorrect headset bearings will be replaced at no cost to the customer.

As of this date, Glacier Bikes has received no complaint of injury or damage as a result of this error.

"Glacier bikes strives to provide the highest quality at a reasonable price," said Peter Sejrup, president of Glacier Bikes. "We will continue to ensure our customers are satisfied and proud to ride Canada's rare and exotic bike."

Glacier Bikes, located in Norwood, Ontario, was launched in 2005. The company specializes in high end bicycles, offering only 200 units per year with its three models.
