QBP acquires Bushnell eccentric bottom bracket design

Published April 28, 2019

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (BRAIN) — QBP has acquired the intellectual property and remaining inventory of the Bushnell Eccentric Bottom Bracket, which had been owned by Seattle's R&E Cycles.

The remaining inventory is being repackaged under QBP's Problem Solvers brand and after the inventory is gone QBP will have the product manufactured.

The eccentric bottom bracket is used for tandems and singlespeeds. It was invented by Dennis Bushnell sometime in the 1990s.

Problem Solvers' brand manager, Chris Duerkop, said the product is “Widely regarded as the best of eccentric bottom bracket designs by frame builders and bicycle riders.

“This is a tried-and-true legacy product, and the most popular eccentric design in the market. Since this design has been employed for so long, and is the hands-down best among its eccentric peers, we don’t anticipate making any changes to the product’s design itself.”
