Shimano Ultegra to Have Di2 Technology

Published June 20, 2011

NUNSPEET, The Netherlands (BRAIN)—What was reserved only for Shimano Dura-Ace, Di2 electronic shifting technology can now be found on Ultegra, bringing it to a wider group of consumers.

Shimano Ultegra 6770 series with Di2 technology consists of Dual Control Levers, electronically operated front and rear derailleurs, a battery and electric cables. For the remaining components—like the Hollowtech II crankset, brake calipers, cassette sprockets and chain—riders can rely on the products of the mechanical Ultegra 6700 component group.

It will hit retail this September. Pricing wasn't announced.
