NEW YORK, NY (BRAIN) Monday April 30 2012 6:13 PM MT—Bike Expo New York will bring in about 90 exhibitors in this Thursday through Saturday in advance of the city’s popular TD Five Boro Bike Tour.
Headliners at the first-year event include Eastern Mountain Sports, Raleigh America, Cannondale, Specialized, Shimano, Thule, Fuji, Pearl Izumi, Light & Motion and Bike Friday. Exhibitors should get pretty decent exposure considering all 32,000 Boro Bike Tour riders have to walk through the expo to get to packet pick-up for the May 6 ride, which leads cyclists through all five of New York City’s boroughs traffic-free in one day.
Rider organizer Bike New York anticipates event to be the nation’s most attended bike expo. The three-day expo features free bicycle classes for kids and adults, performances, bike fashion shows, a fastest mechanic competition and BMX stunts.
