WASHINGTON, DC (BRAIN) Feb 14, 10:14 MT—Author Sue Macy will be the keynote speaker at the inaugural National Women Cycling Forum, to be held Tuesday, March 20, with the 2012 National Bike Summit in Washington.
Macy is the author of , author of Wheels of Change: How Women Rode the Bicycle to Freedom (With a Few Flats Tires Along the Way). The book was named to the 2011 Best Books lists from the Washington Post and the San Francisco Book Review.
The forum is billed as the first national gathering specifically dedicated to raising awareness about and discussing how to engage more women in bicycling.

Cyclone Bicycle Supply and KNOG plan product launch party

New website offers help with European standards

It is intended to serve as a starting point for anyone who wants to learn about or participate in the European standardization system.
Besides bikes, the standards apply to all kinds of products and services across a wide range of sectors such as chemicals, construction, energy, food, health and safety, household appliances, machinery and transport.
Primal/MapMyRIDE-BH Bikes women's team announces 2012 squad
DENVER, CO (BRAIN) Feb 14, 11:17 MT—The Denver-based Primal/MapMyRide powered by BH Bikes women's team has announced its 2012 roster.
This will be the second season for the eight-member team. The team will hold its training camp in San Diego, California, prior to the season.

USA Pro Cycling Challenge hosts second poster contest
DENVER, CO (BRAIN) Feb 14, 11:22 MT—The 2012 USA Pro Cycling Challenge will host a nation-wide contest inviting artists to create posters for each of the race's 12 host cities, and a national event poster.
Entries are being accepted from Tuesday, February 14 through Friday, March 16, with the winners being announced on Monday, April 16.
The race's Facebook fans will cast their votes for the three best posters for each city and the ten best national posters. From there, panels of judges consisting of dignitaries, media and city officials will select each of the winners. Winners receive a cash prize in addition to having their posters produced and sold online and onsite during the race, August 20-26. A portion of the proceeds from the national poster will be donated to America’s Road Home, while proceeds from many of the city posters will benefit local charitable causes.

Challenge Tires announces sponsored teams and athletes
OVERLAND PARK, KS (BRAIN) Feb 14, 11:35 MT—Challenge Tires has announced its 2012 roster of sponsored teams and athletes.
Challenge is looking to move beyond sponsor cyclocross athletes to work with road racers and triathletes this season.
