SRAM is title sponsor of Tim Johnson's Ride on Washington • Seattle Bike Supply holds 'Armchair Open House' • Stage Race Distribution is North American importer for Olympia bike line

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) Feb 6, 09:38 MT—SRAM has taken the title sponsor spot for Tim Johnson's Ride on Washington, a 520-mile ride from Boston to Washington prior to the National Bike Summit. The ride is led by road and cyclocross racer Tim Johnson.

The ride, supported by Bikes Belong, brings together advocates, industry leaders and racing clubs at nightly receptions in each host city in an effort to raise local awareness about national bike initiatives.

“With federal funding for bicycling in danger, and the U.S. facing continuing health crises, it is vital that cycling be a solution that is accessible to as many people as possible. We are honored to be part of an event that raises awareness for the crucial work of national advocacy groups like Bikes Belong," said David Zimberoff, global marketing director at SRAM.

Other major sponsors of the event include Bicycling magazine, Cannondale, CatEye, Firefly Bicycles, Fuji Bicycles, Mad Alchemy and Red Bull.
