EL SEGUNDO, CA (BRAIN) Jan 31, 14:06 MT—Devin Walton is joining ACT Lab as global logistics manager. Walton’s first assignment is to coordinate and optimize ACT's Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) between the U.S. and China test facilities. He will work directly with customers who have products directed to mass-merchant retail stores.
Walton joins ACT after 19 years at Shimano American, where he held multiple management titles within the product, customer service, and quality assurance divisions. He authored and implemented new customer service and warranty policies and was instrumental in compiling customer feedback to Shimano Japan for product development and planning. For the last six years Walton has been acting as company spokesperson and media contact while continuing to assess risk and negotiate consumer injury claims.
“I couldn't think of a better person to step into ACT at this point in our company’s cycle of growth,” said John Bogler, ACT president and general manager. “Devin’s experience gives him an incredibly strong perspective of the industries that we serve, their suppliers, manufacturers and their products, and the inherent risks and liability associated with the products that we test every day.”
Walton will work with suppliers like Currie Technologies, Razor USA, and other manufacturers supplying products that must meet stringent product compliance requirements and test protocols mandated by mass-merchant retailers as well as federal and state consumer safety standards.
