VISTA, CA (BRAIN)—Zoot Sports has named Chris Bogue as vice president of sales and marketing for North America.
Previously, he held high-level sales and marketing positions with Pactimo, Pearl Izumi, Casio and K2 Sports. He will begin his role with Zoot in Vista, CA, on November 1.
"Chris has achieved great successes in the tri, running and cycling markets, and we are excited to have him come back to the K2 family in his new role with Zoot Sports," said Louis Boudreault, K2 Sports’ senior vice president of sales and marketing for North America. "He's a dedicated athlete and is an ideal fit for the brand on several levels. Zoot is experiencing rapid growth and Chris will play a key role in ensuring the brand achieves its full potential."
Bogue is a decisive leader with an innate understanding of what it is to be an athlete. According to Bogue, every day of his life has been a training day. He’s competed as a triathlete, college football player, elite swimmer and marathon runner. At age 14, he was ranked No. 1 in the United States, in the 100-meter freestyle; and ranked No. 2 in the world in the 14-year-old age group. Bogue ended his swimming career to pursue his interests in football and played for University of Wyoming from 1976-80.
"Zoot makes the best gear for competitive runners, swimmers and triathletes. They’re in the race to win it," said Bogue. "The product is designed to perform at a professional level but is equally as beneficial to everyday athletes. Zoot has great reputation and is positioned for substantial growth in the coming years."
