Published June 21, 2011

BAD NAUHEIM, Germany (BRAIN)—The JD Group, a manufacturer of bicycle components and developer of electric technology for electric bicycles, has opened a new battery testing laboratory at its electric mobility and e-bike factory in Dongguan, China.

The new battery test lab will expand on the company’s ability to test advanced energy storage cells, modules and full battery packs. A paint shop with state-of-the-art equipment further complements the company’s full scale and modern production base.

Both extensions have been integrated into the 120,000 square meter factory area as useful additions to the modern facilities while complementing the production of complete e-bikes and TranzX PST drive systems.

“This facility will advance our knowledge and testing skills,” said JD Group’s CEO Johnson Cho. “Our new laboratory represents a heightening of our quality management systems and raises our commitment to safe technology for high-quality and durable batteries.”
