SAN DIEGO, CA (BRAIN)—Kebby Holden and business partner Stephanie Swanson saw a void when it came to women’s tri apparel.
Holden and Swanson, both avid triathletes who live in San Diego, could never find anything that was fashionable, yet at the same time fit well.
“There’s really nothing out there that a women can ware that’s a top and a bottom that go together, unless you’re on a team, or you spend a lot on a kit of a team that you’re not on,” said Holden, co-owner of SOAS Racing. “We tried to do designs that we’re feminine and modern.”
Swanson is a graphic designer by trade while Holden has a design and corporate background. Their skillsets seem to be meshing well as the two already have their apparel at 10 retailers throughout the country, including San Diego’s famous Nytro Multisport.
“They’ve been really good because they just have a presence in San Diego,” Holden said of Nytro. “They pretty much wiped us out in our first round of product. They’ve already placed four orders from us already since the beginning of February.”
