Published March 25, 2011

ORONO, ME (BRAIN)—The Light Electric Vehicle Association (LEVA) has announced its first Gold Sponsor is Prodeco Technologies.

Prodeco has expressed their desire to support LEVA and its activities by contributing $10,000 to the association. LEVA has several corporate membership categories for LEV and component manufacturers, plus a special IBD-retailer category. LEVA represents the strategic interests of light electric vehicle retailers, dealers, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers to promote the development, sale, and use of LEVs worldwide. Members receive support and educational resources to expand their businesses while initiating efforts to influence and adopt legislation, regulation, performance standards, promotion and general best practices in the light electric vehicle industry.

LEVA founder and chairman Ed Benjamin said, “Prodeco has my keen attention. They are offering products made in America, at remarkable values. We are delighted to welcome them as our first Gold Sponsor.”

Prodeco Technologies moved into their modern Pompano Beach plant in January 2011, and now produce six e-bikes there.
