Highway Two Names Eubanks President

Published March 25, 2011

OLNEY, IL (BRAIN)—Highway Two has appointed George Eubanks as president.

Eubanks has been the company’s national sales manager since being recruited for the role in the spring of 2008. He will share his time between the company’s Olney, Illinois, distribution center and the Laguna Beach, California, sales office. With half of the inside sales team in Olney, and the other half in Laguna Beach, this is something he has grown accustomed to over the past three years.

In a related move, Highway Two has added two more inside salespeople in the Laguna Beach location and is in the process of hiring more sales support in the Olney location.

“With our sales growth trajectory and our initiatives to increase service levels, call frequency and to further our reach into Canada, we need additional talented salespeople to service our dealers," Eubanks said. “Furthermore, we have a dedicated NA brand manager for Continental, a new brand specialist for Brooks in the field and have added a second for Fizik. The same can be said for Crankbrothers where we now have two technical vehicles visiting dealers this season.”

In addition to staff expansion, significant process improvements are being made to further support the explosive growth of the respective brands. Continental’s brand manager Brett Hahn said, “I am thrilled with how the model is working closer than ever with our European manufacturing partners to ensure that the North American IBD is supported with ample supply and world class customer service—a primary goal from the onset of Highway Two.”

Dave Hostetter, the company’s founding president has decided to leave the company after four-and-a-half years of incredible growth. “Dave was the father of this project and has grown it from its birth into young adulthood in a very short period of time,” said Wilfried Flammger, Continental Bicycle Tire area sales manager. “I have worked with Dave for many years and have appreciated all that he has done for Continental and our project with Selle Royal and Highway Two. I wish him well with his next project.”

Selle Royal Group’s Andrew Herrick added, “Dave put this company together in short order five years ago, which is an impressive accomplishment. Like our friends at Continental, Selle Royal thanks Dave and wishes him well.”
