LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (BRAIN)—DealerCamp 2011 will feature all six Advanced Sports International (ASI) brands, and they are bringing a full complement of activities to next year’s “camp,” which is produced by Lifeboat Events.
DealerCamp 2011 takes place July 26-28 at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. Iconic marques Fuji, Breezer and Kestrel will be on hand, along with Oval Concepts, SE Bikes and Terry as ASI hosts their national sales meeting at the resort and then rolls right into DealerCamp, according to a press release.
“When we looked at our overall experience at DealerCamp this year, it was hard not to return with our brands in 2011,” said Pat Cunnane, president and CEO of Advanced Sports International. “Lance (Camisasca) and his crew understand the importance of being able to spend quality time with retailers. With the current state of business, where we are rushing from one meeting or phone call to another, we appreciate having this dedicated time to completely focus on our customers and potential customers.”
Fuji and its parent, ASI, are one of several companies committing early for DealerCamp 2011 in an effort to earn early season discounts, participate in retailer nominations and, more importantly, secure space. Exhibitors who submit fully paid DealerCamp contracts by October 31 receive a 15 percent discount off published booth prices.
“We are thrilled to see Fuji, Oval and the others return,” said Lance Camisasca, president of Lifeboat Events. “We know these brands are on the move and, frankly, eating into other brands’ market share—and this is part of how they are getting it done. The more cunning brands understand that getting in early means exerting far more influence on the subsidized retailer list. ASI gets that.”
Lifeboat Events plans to subsidize 125 retail businesses to attend DealerCamp. This is 25 percent more than in 2010.
DealerCamp exhibiting brands that are contracted and paid by February 15 are invited to participate in the subsidized retailer nomination process. In addition, Lifeboat Events will be contacting retailers across the country to encourage them to urge their favorite suppliers to nominate them for the subsidy program.
