FLETCHER, NC (BRAIN)—Cane Creek Cycling Components has hired Devon Sullivan as a suspension design engineer.
Drawing on his experience as an avid north shore downhill rider, Sullivan will use his mechanical engineering skills to further develop and refine Cane Creek’s suspension product line.
“Devon’s demonstrated ability to innovate across a broad range of industries combined with his rigorous mechanical engineering background made him the ideal candidate and someone we wanted to add to our engineering team. It also doesn’t hurt that he can ride the wheels off a bike,” said Josh Coaplen, Cane Creek’s director of R&D. “He brings a lot to the table to help us achieve our growth goals in the suspension market.”
Sullivan comes to Cane Creek after designing complex acoustic equipment and mechanisms, holding several joint patents for his work. His prior work shows a propensity for novel solutions and a commitment to unique, user-friendly industrial design.
“This is an exciting opportunity for me,” Sullivan said. “Cane Creek is such a well respected brand all over the world and the more I heard about the plans to grow the suspension offerings the more I knew this was the place for me. I’m diving in head-first and good things are happening already.”
