LONGMONT, CO (BRAIN)—Responding to a flood of recent inquiries CrossVegas organizer Brook Watts reminds everyone that registration for the early cross season classic opens August 1.
“Every year the anticipation grows bigger and bigger and I guess this year people are just really itching to race CrossVegas or they’re worried they may miss out on the limited spots,” Watts said in a press release. “The phone and e-mails have been increasing steadily in the last few weeks.”
Categories include Elite Men, Elite Women and the Wheelers & Dealers race for bicycle industry members attending Interbike.
The 2010 edition of CrossVegas is scheduled for Wednesday, September 22 in Las Vegas following the first day of the Interbike show. Heading into its fourth year, CrossVegas has become a fixture on the U.S. cyclocross calendar attracting almost 10,000 spectators to the stadium setting of Desert Breeze Soccer Complex in Las Vegas.
Registration is limited for each category to 100 racers and is expected to fill rapidly. Complete details will be available on the Web site www.crossvegas.com (click on link) over the next few weeks.
Food and beverages, including Sierra Nevada beer, are available at CrossVegas beginning at 6 p.m. with racing starting at 7 p.m. In addition, Interbike will again provide a free shuttle bus throughout the night from The Sands Convention Center for anyone with an Interbike show badge.
