FLETCHER, NC (BRAIN)—Cane Creek’s effort to raise both funds and awareness for World Bicycle Relief through the sale of a special edition 110 Reserve headset has been a success.

The WBR Reserve headset, which went on sale to the public last September, was purchased by people from all over the world who are interested in supporting the valuable work of World Bicycle Relief. Through this effort Cane Creek Cycling Components has raised $26,130 for the organization.

The special edition World Bicycle Relief 110 Reserve headset is cut from high-grade LDX 2101® Stainless Steel at Cane Creek’s North Carolina facility. Serialized to commemorate the limited run and packaged in a Western Cedar wooden box; it is one unique headset.

“We are proud to support World Bicycle Relief and know that through this effort people’s lives will be positively affected,” said Scott Sonnone, president of Cane Creek Cycling Components. “I hope that Cane Creek’s example will inspire others to continue working on behalf of the people in Africa.”

"We greatly value Cane Creek's generous support of our mission," said F.K. Day, president of World Bicycle Relief. "While we enjoy this stunning work of art, the bicycles purchased through this limited edition will save lives and can rewrite the future for a family in the hands of a man, woman or child fighting for their education, livelihood and community."
