BLOOMINGTON, MN (BRAIN)—QBP has selected Mike McMullen to manage its purchasing department.
In this new role, McMullen will develop and manage purchasing processes, in addition to training and directing purchasing staff.
“Mike has a successful track record as a versatile supply chain professional. He’s recognized for operational excellence in improving purchasing and inventory management performance,” said QBP purchasing and inventory director Mike Lind. “He brings in-depth knowledge of distribution and the best practices in purchasing.”
According to Lind, as McMullen drives continuous improvement, dealers and vendors will benefit from improved fill-rates and product demand forecasting.
McMullen joined QBP in June 2009 as a senior buyer. His background includes 20 years with Sysco Corporation, a worldwide leader in foodservice distribution, as director of purchasing. He most recently spent 13 years with Dairy Queen International as vice president of Equipment & Supply as well as vice president of Purchasing.
