NEWBURY PARK, CA (BRAIN)—Giant laid off two inside sales representatives in November, dividing their responsibilities up among the remaining team.
“Unfortunately, reflecting the nature of the current economy, Giant had to make a difficult and painful choice of cutting personnel expenses. At this time, there are no plans for further reductions,” said Patrick Vanhorn, Giant’s corporate communications manager. The exact details of the layoff are confidential, Vanhorn said.
Inside sales operations were updated so that all Giant retailers still have an inside sales representative ready to handle their accounts.
