MADISON, WI (BRAIN)—Saris Cycling Group has hired Jeff Frehner as vice president of business and product development.
Frehner will lead the engineering and product management staff to create a cohesive product development unit. Frehner will also work to grow Saris Cycling Group through business development efforts and strategic acquisitions that are aligned with Saris’ overall business plan.
“I’ve known Jeff for a number of years and have the upmost respect for his character, integrity and ability,” said Chris Fortune, president of Saris Cycling Group. “He has shown great leadership, and has extensive industry experience with an immense passion for cycling. We are very fortunate to have Jeff join our Saris team.”
Frehner was most recently president of Planet Bike. Prior to that he was president of the Cannondale Sports Group (now Cycling Sports Group), and previously held various executive positions leading to president of Pacific Cycle. Frehner began his career in the cycling industry with Quality Bicycle Products.
"I've known Chris for a long time," Frehner said. "I have a ton of respect for him." Frehner said the timing just never worked out before to make it happen.
